Thread: Enable or Disable Services in Windows 7

Hi. I have desktop computer with windows 7 OS. I want to know how to Enable or Disable Services in Windows. I am not a computer savvy. If you have any idea then let me know that. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Follow the steps to enable or disable service in windows 7

To Disable a service

i) In the properties window click on the stop button. Wait for some time till the service stop.

ii) Go to the Startup type and click on the drop down menu. Choose Disable.

iii) Click on Apply button>>Ok

To start a service

i) Get to the Startup type. Click on the drop down menu. decide Automatic or Manual. Click on Apply.

ii) Click on Start >>click Ok

In case the Start option is inactive reboot the PC. But before that, change the Startup type to Automatic and click Ok.
