    Default Windows 7 shuts down

I just updated to Windows 7 x64 but I am having troubles by its shutting down. Then I walk away from my PC for some minutes and when I come again and I have to push power button to get it out of what looks similar to sleep mode. Now how can I alter this so that it does not occur again? While in sleep mode or whatever it is can people yet access my PC threw my home network? Nearly all time when I am not at my PC I just switch users that way my programs are yet running in back ground and other people in the home can access my shared documents

To alter your power options, get in Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options
I don't believe it can be accessed whereas it's in sleep mode as it is essentially shut down for all intents and reasons.
