Thread: The Page Failed To Load Windows Update

I had those small windows update icon in the taskbar, there's a fresh update. But when I double click it, it only shows me a black page that says. Then I tried to open windows update through the start menu and the control panel, still showed the same thing. I figured it would be an internet problem.

One first thing to attempt would be a complete system restart in order to observe Windows start up fresh rather than just coming out of hibernation. Also often most problems seen when coming out from sleep mode are by those who not remember to reboot so that Windows loads all it wants fresh.

I do shut down my computer and I do complete restarts each few hours so I think about that.

I've had that occur here where you couldn't acquire the WU popup to work and ended up going to MS straight. The a few days later the WU choice worked like nothing was ever wrong. On the little occurrence where this was seen sometimes the problem just cleared up in a few hours. Then I changed ISPs.
