When I start a window, it is not in the right size. I have to increase it with the edge arrows, and I cannot work out how to save the size that is contented. What can I do to save a window at a particular size when I exit?

The one thing that look to work is pressing down and holding on the CTRL key and closing the window out with the X in the upper right corner of the window . The memorize each folder's view settings selection in the menu bar>tools>folder options>view tab used to work in WINDOWS XP but not for Vista
one more advice I can pass along here is when you want a second explorer window open one tip here is to just press and hold the CTRL+N key combination for seeing the next window open up to the correct same size as the first.
As per your suggestion I tried the ctrl with X exit but it doesn't want to save the size for some reason. So can you give me any other suggestion?
I used to hate that about Vista over windows XP where the size of the explorer would be the similar the next time you opened one. In windows Vista you always see the latest open up on the left side with a big wide view as in windows XP you could close a window out on the right side and see the next one open up.
I did find one Vista change site that explains how to resize unresizable windows.
