Default Windows 7 backup DVD not read by windows XP

I lately determined to switch back from the Windows 7 to windows XP. I made a backup disk using Roxie Creator 9, but forgot to verify it. After setting up Windows XP, I tried opening the backup DVD. It took about a minute for it to load it up, and when it did load up there was nothing shown up on the disk. I tested it out by loading the disk on a Windows 7 computer, and all the files were there. It's simply a problem when I try looking at the files on XP. Is there any way to make it so I am able to see the files on the DVD on windows XP?

This problem happen because of a different file system. I guessed I read starting with vista Windows will have a dissimilar file system

Both windows XP and Windows 7 file systems are NTFS, thus that is not your problem. Try changing File Sharing for the disks in windows XP, just a suppose at this point.

Mainly how Roxio burned the disk made it not read in windows XP as the two newer editions have ready support to read the format the disk was burned to. The version of Roxio was likely newer also resulting in read problems. Once you have a data disk burning program on the new windows XP install you should be able to burn a fresh disk for the same files that can be read in windows XP.
