only make some other small partition by moving the D drive and place all your important files and such there temporary

You won't be able to use Windows Easy Transfer for the manner you want, you would necessary an external drive or a USB flash drive.

your main problems utilizing the Windows Easy move will be trying to restore files and settings since you custom installed all programs onto a completely severalize partition or drive totally This will want a entirely clean install of all program once the fresh Windows installation is checked with a new system registry. Besides another copy of Windows going on you will also be changing the OS platform requiring a clean install.

This is one thing to believe when preparation to install all on a partition or drive other the C operating system primary. For just making a second storage or backup partition that will depend on how much drive place you have usable as well as the size of the drive.
