Default Windows 7 doesn't catch files on DVD

My friend has upgraded to Windows7 Ultimate on his desktop computer Installation was fine and no problems seemed until he tried to install her Sims three game. Windows 7 can't see the files . There is no selection when right clicking DVD icon to set run as administrator

for advanced permissions. Have checked out Device manager etc shows DVD is working decently,

can any one can solve this problem.

For any older game or program you have to open a Windows Explorer browser window and look at the root directory of the disk . also the autorun.inf file you may see a setup or launcher.exe file there you right click on to open the characteristic tab and set to run as windows XP or windows Vista the run as admin box.

I handled here to acquire more installed and running on windows 7 then seen with Vista at times yet on the 64bit Windows with the selection there. But in lots case an upgrade will mean just that. It just won't go on or won't run once installed because of how it was written. Some games were written specific for widows XP and just won't work on anything newer.

giving a personal meet to see the manager would be the smart move as he will be capable to look up the date and other information from the real sale . He can then just print out a new receipt easy enough. The idea how to take benefit of the free windows 7 upgrade is just proof of buy which the store can help you with there as they have to maintain records on any large gadgets and extensive warranty information as well.
