Thread: Speed up startup of Windows 7 with 2 or more processor cores

Windows 7 boots by default using a single-core processor, but if we have more than one can tell the system to use to speed up the boot.

As in previous systems, we have available in this system unit msconfig which allows the boot to access properties and other characteristics. To proceed with this configuration, therefore press the start button and then type configure in the search field. My Windows 7 is in English, but I think there will be no loss.

We have arrived where we now only have to select the check boxes and specify the number of processors available to us in our team and also the maximum amount of memory installed, is expressed in M bytes so if we have to have 1 Gb to 1024, with 2 Gb put 2048 and so on.

Many of the problems boot your Windows in terms of speed, the system from many files and programs load at start up cannot control from the Start menu, however, both Windows XP and Windows Vista allows us to choose which program run at start up using the command msconfig.

Many of the programs that run at start up are important and cannot do without them. Performing this action can increase system performance on Windows start up and thus have started much earlier.

Although there are other tabs to perform different configurations, which interests us is the Home marked with a red arrow in the image above. We click on it and open a list of programs that load at startup of windows.
