Default Windows 7 WPA protection troubles

We simply acquired new router, and my network doesn't work.
It simply gives me error the settings saved on this computer do not compete the demands of the network

I believe the conclude is the change from WEP to WPA. And the network works fine on Ubuntu.

You require altering the settings on your computer if the encoding is WPA. I don't utilize wireless here so cannot determine the performing but i know it's in the network settings somewhere.

I choose WPA Personal. With MAC dribbling, and Broadcast off. This has additional securities. But simply hiding SSID and no MAC filtering, you’re simply as valuable as broadcasting your SSID.

Routers brand is Elisa, Yes Windows 7 Home Premium incorporated modem + router we have now WPA, it was WEP earlier because it was Nokia Siemens Networks' router and modem, now personal one.

I have wireless network and utilizing Wireless USB 802.11 b/g Network Adapter.

I experience that I should add those WPA settings to my computer, but I simply do not detect where I could change them.

TKIP is a software-driven protection protocol that wants a bit more work for the router and computer to acquire a connection, but AES is hardware driven and hence prone to more problems with dissimilar sets of hardware. AES is more secure while As long as you have MAC address filtering active, it shouldn't matter whether you use TKIP or AES.

Upgrade your router firmware or wireless adapter drivers from the producer site. It may assist on windows 7 because this OS requires grow drivers to work right not some insane drivers. It helped me getting my belkin wireless work like a charm after some updates of wireless adapter software drivers.
