I bought the eeepc 1001px a few days ago, the position attribute I did was installing ubuntu netbook remix 10.04 on it. Shamefully there where a lot of repugnance issues. I firm most of them, but the webcam works wasn't beingness acknowledged. A lot of hours ulterior, in vain of deed it to line, I installed Windows 7 in localize of the ubuntu, hoping that everything would utilize. Today, my webcam still isn't acknowledged by Windows 7. I installed all the possible updates and justified installed the windows XP drivers for the webcam because I can't gestate the straightlaced windows 7 drivers or eyeglasses of the webcam.When I armored to Asus, they said I had to reinstall XP, but the job is that since Grub was installed as bootloader for Linux, after a exploit, the netbook doesn't charge anymore and I don't know an XP beginning ISO or so.

I'm a 1001px user from Hungary. Worthless if I'm not up to day, but I person the comparable fund with my webcam: after a BIOS-update (core1102, code epcd 044) the webcam was honorable absent. My Win7 does not sight it.I bought my EeePc with xp preinstalled, and I can reconstruct it anytime with imperative F9 at beginning. It appears that my webcam was DOA, that agency Cold On Accomplishment, it never worked and was delivered breached. Has your webcam worked before ? (did you got video out of it).

My webcam was fully useable, both under xp and win7 until I did the BIOS update.By the way I did a lot of installations in the very reading (IVT Bluesoeil 6, Nokia Ovi Suite, lot of usb using meaninglessness) so I noneffervescent desire I'm having sympathy issues.
