Default Which is the more beneficial alternative Windows Home Server? NAS? Free NAS?

Hello friends I newly sell my old laptop and buy a fresh macbook. Now, I am real impressed with the meshwork attached storage answer and would like to compare it with the home server. Am I heading in the right place or is windows the better alternetive as it has been for these many years. Please suggest me the pros and the cons of the both .

Hi. If you are extremely concerned in monumental storage then you should go for free nas. It is bit more hardcore. Also, the striking characteristicks is that the new rc can do zfs and minus any second things it is the better file system to have. Also the main raid mirroring is very value in windows home server to preserve entire the information.

I would definitely minus any second thought go for Windows home server. Firstly, it requires identical less machine power. I permits the charateristics of openiing other PCs remotely and no require to have a unlike firewall for each machine. Also, you can see picture , music and many other feature are present through windows media server.

I would tell you that free nas is a fine alternetive but only when it comes to nas itself. Still, nas configuration is simple and it gives a quicker access to information. Also its disadvantage is that it does not permit file serving from other servers in the meshwork. It also does not gives the facilities of email , file management which are real significant tasks. Its only role is file sharing.

Hi. I hope you are not confused until just. Well from the over posts it is surely that comparing our day to day life , home servers are way ahead compared to nas. It may be according to that you may go for nas but it looks real likely that windows is the better alternetive and giving a test to free nas is not worthy still via it is freely present.
