Default Windows 7 presenting Not Existing Phantom Floppy repel.

    Hello Friends,

I lately updated my machine to Windows 7229 and I discovered that there's a floppy repel that is indicating up now. This is actually strange since I don't have one set up. Also I would tell you that the only reply that I got was that it may be the BIOS that are inducing the trouble. Well I knew that wasn't the matter for me, and double viewed it just to be sure. So can you please tell me on how to go about this matter?

I just had a appear at the quarry that you have posted and I would tell you that I really have had the phantom floppy because Windows Vista days and on 7137 I got a this latest phantom CD drive. It has been actually nice with me until now and it hasn’t given any trouble to me at entire. Though I suspect it actually is a BIOS settings matter. I would just wait until the RTM to view if it yet operate or not and also it is a bit simple to invalid.

    Thanks.

I was going via the quarry that you have install and would ask you that have you viewed entire the BIOS settings? This is since I doubt that you have finish this. And I would also tell you that this is due to few trouble in the BIOS settings. What I would tell is that the main CMOS settings will have the floppy and hard repel. And you may have to manually set it to invalid if it somehow guess you have one.

    Thank You.

I guess that the over answer is utterly right and would tell you that once you manually set it to invalid then on the progessed or perhapes chipset page there is sometimes another one or two enabling floppy repels and boot-up floppy seek. Also to go more if there is a wire in the FDD channel on the main board then that could bedevil it. So just remember this matter and then all will be nice with you.

I would say that there may be few opportunities that this can’t be a BIOS matter. And if it actually isn't a BIOS matter then the only matter I could guess is that there is another matter on your main board that Windows is bedevilling with a Floppy repel. If such is really the case then you require to remember that you have the new woods for your main board chipset and controllers. So this is what you require to do to repair the matter that you are tackling.

    Thanks.
