This trouble may maybe occur due to unequal permits to utilize the repel Letter:\Documents and Settings->All Users->Application Data->Microsoft->Crypto->RSA->Machine Keys folder on the computer.settle the exact rights for the Machine Keys directory. After setting the exact permit. You will no longer accept this problem.

I attempted on the path to significance a definite pfx file on three dissimilar windows 7 computers furthermore experienced this fault on each 1 of them. My answer was to import it into a windows server 2003 box, after that export it, after that attempt to import it into windows 7, which operated. This may work if with Windows XP mode if you do not accept a server 2003 box to bind it off.

Machine Keyset is excused as "secret keys are saved in the local PC store to a sure extent than the current user store". The default option with no flags is on the path to put in the user store. Thus, I am estimating that though you are interpretation the cert from disk as well as preserving it in an object that the _LoadCertFromFile method is at a standstill right to utilize a certificate store. Furthermore on the hosting server the ASP.NET process does not control permission to access the user store .
