Tentatively, you have AHCI enabled in BIOS.Windows started but after that no more, so you have restored to original condition.
Windows 7 has the appropriate drivers for all major hard disk adapter to the community. For this reason, the switch to AHCI mode actually be a problem. Unlike Windows XP does not prevent the driver missing the start of the operating system. Trigger is rather that Windows does not load the driver. By intervening in the registry you can fix this however.
Step 1: Start the Windows Registry Editor. You hold the key down and press Win tap the R button in the window "Run" in "regedit" and click "OK". Then confirm the UAC message with "Yes".
Step 2: Go to the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ System \ CurrentControlSet \ services \ msahci". Click on the right side of the window double click on the "Start". A window appears where you type in "value" the number "0". Confirm by clicking "OK" and then close again the Windows Registry Editor.
Step 3: Now start your new PC, and go into the BIOS setup. Set the AHCI mode, and save the change.Due to the change in the registry prevents the driver now Windows Msahci.sys one already at the start of the operating system, and access to the SATA hard drive is in AHCI mode. Windows 7 should start so easily.
