Over five years it took until Microsoft wanted to launch in early 2007 with the introduction of Windows Vista, the end of the success story of Windows XP. Despite initial euphoria, it has Windows Vista, while still not managed to banish Windows XP covering the surface of the computers, and from the minds of users.


Even the "triumph" of little practical and netbooks, which have migrated in the past 18 months, millions of copies over the counter, is still largely accompanied by Windows XP. No small part in it should bear in many places but significantly scaled hardware compared to a normal desktop or notebook system.
