Default Complete copy on file-level Windows 7

This time the current situation: I wanted to move the Windows partition on my SSD to adjust the alignment (Win7 had copied from the HDD to an SSD in its time). I've via HDClone the entire partition secured to a second disk, and then started using GParted to shrink the partition first and then move on - it GParted crashed (while moving). The result is that Windows will not boot. The Raparaturfunktion Windows gets not restored. Chkdsk was able to recover to about 250 files everything works unfortunately still not win.My big problem now, however, that the cloned copy of ALSO will not run when I play them back (the repair function can not fix the error).

How can I copy a complete file-level Windows 7 with Registry, user folders, etc.? With Linux, I know I unfortunately do not, but several live versions is available (Kubuntu 7.1, Knoppix, SuSe LiveEval) and even in the current version of GParted Live CD.

If I have correctly comprehended, you have your first drive copied, but the copy is not functional? Then unfortunately you have to step copy of the check on access capability forget, but one probably. is it not so bad:

Have you ever tried to put the copy on disk to the Windows system partition active / bootable? This goes well with GParted. Hanging on to the only copy of the calculator to be sure which board are you editing - only to minimize additional sources of error. If you're on the partition active / set to boot, you start the PC from this disk, the works, everything is OK, because then you can play back the copy, which does not work, so you can sign again.

That's right, the copy also does not boot. I have also tried to copy repair the Windows repair, but it works well not stop. "Access capability" is the record so far that I can read them clamped in an external enclosure on netbook, the data are all there, if I am right.

The partition is active or boot partition that win7 will also start my throws but made a stop code and refers to the console (stop code, I just do not know by heart, but I think it was 0x00000e.

As you should try to bring the copy back to the internal disk (eg with Clonezilla ) and there then the boot partition set to active (in the normal case has Windows 7, a boot and system partition). It may be that the system can not simply boot from the external drive. If necessary. Windows on the external drive has also just a boot loader. If it 's problem is with the bootloader, you can let them fix it, using the installation DVD

So here is my conclusion: Windows is dead When copy is apparently by faulty RAM / board already suffered damage to the files, the backup is therefore already defective ... stupidly in the Registry. Tomorrow, Windows is booted. Thanks anyway for the help!
