In a blog entry is Microsoft's Windows chief Steven Sinofsky now indirectly confirmed what can be heard for some time in the rumor mill: Windows 8 is one app will store, how it can already be found in Mac OS X as well as on many smartphones
Until now the implementation of a Windows app stores in 8 as (relatively safe) rumor in April, even to the tangible images from a developer version have surfaced. Microsoft has officially confirmed the development of an appropriate software marketplace is not. Steven Sinofsky takes the group from this step, however, in which he in his blog entry, the different teams involved in the development of Windows 8, lists.
Among these there is also a working group for the "App Store". Details of their task but are not known. Expected, however, is that Microsoft wants to create for the next version of Windows a marketplace that works much like the competition and about those features in a system reset via the App Store bought programs installed itself continuously.
Until the launch of Windows 8, in the autumn of next year is expected , but Microsoft would publish more details on the planned market place. Until then, could also change the name of something else: While Apple has so far been unsuccessful , as far as banning the use of the term "App Store" in a lawsuit against Amazon, until the end of 2012 could change all that, however, and even Microsoft would have the verdict then take note.
