    Default Necessitate assist on editing grub.cfg for dual boot with windows 7: Ubuntu

    anticipating that I can go for a dual boot from with windows 7. I just don’t recognize how to repair it so I require the assist from your side when I tested to boot to my windows 7 I get a content showing me the fault that it was an not valid signature. I outlined this is as the only booting selection is chainloader +1. I am appearing for somehow edit the grub.cfg by my own for adding it in the boot choice or else I have to manually kind them in all time I require to boot to windows 7.

    I guess you don't have to login as a root do the next : Press the key ALT+F2 , Next by the cmd gksudo gedit <path/to/filename.ext> .

    I guess you'll have to do one thing please see if it assist you. I estimate it will. You just require to put a / earlier boot/grub so that it will be ineffective to read the gksudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg.

    Well I would say that If the latest grub has just been set up you should not be editing the grub.cfg. There are more no of document that get their place in the into grub.cfg on each update or your when you make a changes you try operating the update. In my opinion entire youshall be doing is that you have to locate the windows is: sudo update-grub This will permit osprober that come upon more os and updates and changes you have made to it to gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub Which is plainly a new file that is like the comment region in old menu.lst.

    OS prober just don't easy include the right parameters for windows 7. It only makes an a/c for chainloader +1. I guess that I am certain to a fare extent that this will be defeating it. I can include them directly when I boot via GRUB but they won't preserve. So far I am assuming that this is the only potential solution for the way to fix this.
