Can I make Windows 7 iso/DVD

I have lately buy notebook that arrive with windows 7 Home Basic sp1 but minus set up disc. But the retailer told I just require to take system image on DVD and I can utilize it for any restoration or reinstallation aim in the event of any wrack/virus attack. Product key anyway is determined in the Box. I think it and bought it.

I tested out this from Login menu -Getting Started->backup your documents-> make system image link. Now I am not capable to make a ISO document of this image which is huge approximately 15GB. The image so make by win7 just has some document and one .vhd file which is huge size of 16gb.Please hint ways to get an ISO image which I can write to a DVD, if is this potential in Windows7.

It is not really potential to make a bootable windows disc by your previous windows system. But you can make a Windows Image document by utilizing norton ghost. Norton Ghost copies your entire Windows directory that is the C ride and softwares set up in on more DVD's. This are bootable disc. Anytime when your system wracks or forgot running you can insert that disc and restore your machine.

Thanks for your reply and the site. I have going to the similar. I have XP professional in my PC and I could make ISO document as the set up CD are given to me. I slipstreamed upto sp3 and was just nice on just one CD. But my problems with Windows7 just commenced ! I have some questions here -Does the Nortonghost make a one dvd or more dvds. Will that pose a trouble in restoring from more discs in the event of a system failure, wrack? btw, whats the real size of win7 HB OS?
