The Service Pack 4 is now available for download in the final version of the Microsoft servers. It will eliminate 675 bugs, security holes are closed, and compatibility issues to be eliminated. In it are the earlier versions that contain Service Pack 2 & 3. The download is a small setup file (587 KB) and complete installation as possible.

The Update Rollup 1 contains all security updates that were released since Service Pack 4 until 30.04.2005. An already installed Service Pack 4 is required for the Update Rollup 1. This update rollup is probably the last update for Windows 2000, a Service Pack 5 will not appear.


Since 13.03.2009 Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 as the full version in German language on the Microsoft server is available again. This download was updated by the manufacturer. The update rollup (as of 13.09.2005) has therefore still valid.
