What happens when you click on Close Dear community I would as times new question of "programming" of Windows 7 What happens under the hood when I click on Firefox as the Close icon. Would that then finish with the same task or process, or even stop something completely different ...?

Sometimes it happens, however, is the example of the regular FIREFOX not really close ended. Will you then restart Firefox does nothing. (Because he is still open in the task). Then the firefox.exe in Task Manager under Processes shot. Now Firefox can restart again. This can happen occasionally with other programs. Probably, but only with 32-bit programs on 64 bit system.

This is because the windows close when asked nicely if the program is now ready to quit. Then the routine is called by the program that brings close the program (which has the advantage that it can still be times when documents asked if you want to save yet). Firefox hang sometimes while the habit is here, for whatever reason.
