In previous versions of windows, during setup, you could allocate a limited amount of space for every drive. Once done, it would be inevitable to reduce the size of any partition if required. But in windows Vista, this can be feasibly done. Unlike previous windows versions, Vista allows you to reduce the disk space of a particular drive as and when required. To do so: o Right-click the "My Computer" desktop icon and select "Manage".
o On the right pane, click "Disk Management".
o Now right-click on a particular drive and select the "Shrink Volume" option from the context menu.
o Enter the amount of space to be reduced in the respective box.
o Once done, click "Shrink".
