When you connect a plug n play device on your system, Windows Vista automatically detects it and the Auto-play feature executes.

The Vista 'Auto play' is far better and flexible than the Windows XP 'Autoplay' since it provides you will multiple options.

But these options may seem to be quite confusing specially when it comes to USB drives.

You can disable this feature if not required.

Click "StartlControl panel".

Under the "Hardware and Sounds" option, click "Play CDs or other media automatically".

In the resulting window, clear the "Use Autoplay for all media and devices" check box.

Once done, click "OK".
