Windows Defender real-time protection protects your system against the latest malware and other threats.

But at anytime, if you're not working in a network environment, you can turn off this feature since it might reduce your system's performance.

To do so, click on "StartlControl Panel", Double-click the "Windows Defender" icon.

Click the "Tools and settings" link, Select "Options", Clear the "Auto Start" checkbox and click "Save".
