The new Vista feature protects your system from¬malware by making you manually confirm a host of user operations.

Every time an application is executed, the UAC pops up asking the user permission to proceed further.

This feature doesn't directly affect your system's performance but it can be annoying at some point of time.

To disable this feature, click "Startl Control Panel".

Double-click the "User Accounts" icon.

Click the "Turn User Account Control on or off" link. Clear the "User Account Control to help protect your computer" checkbox and click "OK".
