The maun objective of thumbails in Windows is to help a user quickly identify files while browsing the system through Windows Explorer. This featu~ is helpful especially while browsing through a huge list of video files. If you have an old PC that's slowing down because of this, you can disable thumbnails in Windows to overcome this problem. To do so follow the steps below:

* Double-click "My Computer".

* Click the "Organize" drop-down menu and select the "Folder and Search options" checkbox.

* Click the "View" tab.
