At some point of time your folders may tend to seem quite boring. Windows allows you to customize the folders on your desktop. You can choose from a wide range of icons as well as restore them later if not required. To do so:

o Right-click on an appropriate folder and select the "Properties" option from the context menu that appears.

o Click the "Customize" tab. In the "Folder icons" section, click the "Change Icon" button.

o Select an appropriate icon and click "OK".

o To restore the original icon later, right-click the folder and select the "Properties" option.

o Click the "Customize" tab.

o In the "Folder icons" section, click the "Change Icon" button.

o Click the "Restore Defaults" icon and then "OK".
