Default Comtrend 350 Configuring Windows Vista

Hello! I am thinking about upgrading to Vista but I still think that there is no available driver for this USB modem, my question is whether there is any way to configure it once installed the news operative.

Thank you very much in advance, greetings!

COM trend sorry to say that the 350 is not compatible with Windows Vista and what is worse! I contacted COM trend and tell me that this model will soon be discontinued and therefore will not make drivers for Windows Vista. I tried to install the modem with the Vista drivers under XP compatibility for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and although I say that everything was installed well then there is no connection. So if you want to use Vista or have to use a USB modem or router compatible with Vista.

    Hello!

If you help, I have run a CT-351 in Windows Vista:

When you install the drivers from the CD, it gives an error about a file called atl.dll that is in Windows \ System 32.

Solution: To obtain the relevant permits in Vista (a bit cumbersome) and rename it to atl.dll.bak, then replaces it with another of the same name that may be getting into the folder of XP (assuming you have both OS installed), otherwise rioja looking for in inlet.

Once replaced, and let us install the drivers.

Then we are asked to reboot, and then we say that we are going to start \ run \ msconfig and disable the entry for the phone to reboot, not run the modem configuration.

    Now reboot.

Then click on the icon of the configuration of the modem with the right button and run it in compatibility mode with Windows XP.

Finished setting up everything and the next reboot, because we can connect to inet (at least in my case).

Finally, we can eliminate the clone atl.dll file and rename the original.

    Already contraries.

Click on the file right click, properties, security, advanced, owner, edit, and click on administrator or user name you're using. Close all dialog boxes to accept all, and then open the properties for the second time and the security tab, edit and put total control. After closing the dialog, you can do whatever you want with the file. Make a backup just in case. If not as I have, you are testing, then it will get.

What do you mean exactly when you install the drivers from the CD? What you do is run the setup.exe from the cd to start the setup program or something else or Windows Vista and in fact as it is in 32 or 64 bits.
