Default with Windows Vista Home Basic as the operating system

Hello Dr CHIP, I have an HCL Q2102 Leaptop at home with Windows Vista Home Basic as the operating system. Recently, I had downloaded some free programs from the Internet and installed them. After this, my computer screen turned blue and the computer restarted on its own. I had downloaded the software when I was logged on to my computer with the username '5'.

Now, whenever I start my computer using that profile, the computer screen turns blue again within a few minutes and the computer restarts. However, if I log on through another username 'F', and then switch user to user '5', then this problem does not occur and the computer works without any problems. Please give me the solution to this problem. I had Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0, the license for which expired about a month ago. Except for the features built in to Windows, I have no system for protecting my computer. Please help me.

The problem is that the operating system is executing a malware or virus in the'S' user profile. You can solve this problem by logging in as an Administrator and deleting the faulty user account (back up all documents and data before doing so) and then create another user again. But since the virus could be lurking around in the system files, the problem could crop up again. Update your antivirus program and scan your computer to get rid of the virus.
