Default Windows Vista which requires a lot of space

Hello Sir, I have a Compaq Presario V6425TU laptop and I have five partitions of which the C drive has 20 GB of space. Earlier I was using Windows XP and there was
no shortage of space in the C drive. Now I am using Windows Vista which requires a lot of space. I want to merge my C drive with the D drive which has 30 GB of space and is an extended partition. How can I do this? My laptop's configuration is: Intel Dual Core 1.73 GHz with 512 MB RAM running on Windows Vista Home SP1 operating system. The partitions of my hard drive are as follows: C drive: 19.5 GB (primary partition); D drive: 29.2 GB; E drive: 29.2 GB; F drive: 23.8 GB; G drkte: 9.76 GB. All the partitions are formatted using the NTFS file system.

If you are already using Windows Vista on your computer. then back up all data from the 0 drive to another drive and remove the 0 volume from the disk management utility found with Windows itself. Then extend the C drive to add the space left behind after removing the 0 drive. To do all this, just right click on 'My Computer' and click on 'Manage'. Then on the left panel of the 'Computer Management' window you will find 'Disk Management' under 'Storage'. Click on the icon and you shall find the drives on the right panel. Another alternative is to use a disk partitioning and management program such as Partition Magic. Before doing any of this. it is recommended that you take a complete backup of the entire system's data to avoid any data loss.
