Tip: If you are running Safe Mode because you are unable to get the Windows working properly then you may first try loading the last known good configuration. If you want the Windows Vista Safe mode you could see to it that the computer is booting then press and hold your "F8 Key" from the keyboard which would bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" on your screen. Use your arrow keys to move towards the "Safe Mode" and then press your Enter key.

Note: In some computers you will find out that if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message on the screen. If this occurs continuously, then instead of pressing and holding the "F8 key", you can tap the "F8 key" continuously till you don’t get up the start up menu on the screen.

Trouble Getting into Windows 2000 or Windows XP Safe mode - After doing it for several attempts and still unable to get into Windows 2000 or Windows XP Safe Mode when the computer is booting into Windows, then turn off your computer for sometime. And when the computer is turned on the next time you would see that the computer did not successfully boot and then it will give you the Safe Mode screen for the computer.
