If you right-click the Recycle Bin on the Vista desktop, there's an option to Delete it. This makes it all too easy to accidentally remove the bin, but fortunately it's equally easy to get it back again. To restore the Recycle Bin right-click the desktop, select Personalize and then click 'Change desktop icons' on the left of the w.indow that appears. Tick the box next to the Recycle Bin option and click OK- it will reappear on the ,desktop.
