Windows XP has a button on the Start menu that launches the Run dialogue box, but this button is missing from Vista. If you found the Run option useful, you can put it back. To do this right-click on Start, select Properties and move to the Start Menu tab before clicking Customize. Scroll down through the options, tick the box labelled 'Run command' and click OK.
