The netsh wlan command is available in Windows Vista only it is not available in XP, 2003, or 2008 Server. So the list of things to be done by using this commands? Here is a list:

• First check the configure wireless security settings for this Windows PC or laptop.

• Then configure the wireless connectivity and network settings for this Windows PC or laptop. For example, you could configure your laptop, by logging in, to connect it, securely, to the company wireless network.

• After finishing this then view the wireless group policy settings which are been applied to your Windows machine

• Connect it to the “mixed mode” networks - for e.g. connect to WPA or WPA2 wireless network available.

• Hide the wireless networks from end users with netsh wlan command, you can also it hide from your end users which prevent end users from connecting to potentially nasty or just undesirable wireless networks.
