Vista wont let me remove my external hdd?

Hi

Windows have seen in my laptops and want to take off to put, as I have tried several times and I could not remove my view laptop.

Write "program to format the hard drive" in the browser of your preference and you will find many alternatives, just to give you an example there is a program called "Partition Magic" which performs functions.
