I have recently bought a new Toshiba laptop (L305-S5918), including an Atheros Wi-fi built-in card with it. I am also trying to connect it with my Netgear wireless router - 802.11b network, but it is unable to connect to it. When I firstly get it to connect, it gets connected, gets an IP address as well, and then when I see that it is now going to an "Identifying" state and then it suddenly goes to Limited connectivity. I’m not sure about what's going wrong in it.
I have also made an attempt for connecting the laptop to a Linksys 802.11g network, and it is working fine there.
I browsed many forums for clues, and found information about it stating that contact to Microsoft support for assistance. From there I got the solution but it didn’t work for my problem.
The machine is also running Vista Home Premium. The drivers which are installed in the Laptop are the latest one as well as the Atheros website.
