Windows Vista Sidebar

Windows Sidebar are long vertical bar on the edge of the right hand side of the desktop screen it includes many applications like gadgets and the users can very easily access the tool. The user can also use it for slide show and even the user get daily updated headlines and many more things like the user can also check the temperature of the city.

Why to use Sidebar?

With the help of the sidebar the user can very easily look the information change the wallpaper or go through the contacts and many more without going through many drives and also check the daily news as the information get updated every day. The users don’t have to search for any website for any information.

The user can also feed the Headlines gadget to show the latest news headlines from sources you choose. And it can be done without stopping the previous work which also saves a lot of time and if the user is interested in any of the headline he have to just select that particular headline.

How to open Sidebar

Click on the start button which is on the left hand side of the taskbar and select on the all program option from the start menu and after that click on the Accessories and at last click on the Windows sidebar. And if the user wants it to be displayed every time on the desktop and it has to be set that window may not cover it. The sidebar has a fixed value.

To keep windows from covering Sidebar

And this option is suitable for users who mostly use wide screen LCD as a monitor. Just open the Windows sidebar properties by clicking on the start button which is on the left hand side of the taskbar and select control panel from the start menu and select the Appearance and personalization option and after that click on the Windows sidebar properties and select the windows sidebar which is always on top side of the other windows check box and at last click on the OK.
