For a CRT monitor, it's significant to modify the display resolution to the maximum resolution accessible to give 32-bit color and at slightest a 72-Hertz refresh rate. For additional information, see modify display resolution. If the monitor is flickering, or screening the screen is uncomfortable, enlarge the refresh rate until you are easy with it. For additional statistic, see accurate monitor flicker (refresh rate).
Resolution based on monitor size:
Monitor size Recommended resolution:
15-inch monitor ----- 1024 × 768
17- to 19-inch monitor ----- 1280 × 1024
20-inch and larger monitor ----- 1600 × 1200
Set the color for a CRT monitor:
Windows colors and themes work most excellent once you have your monitor set to 32-bit color. You are able to set your screen to 24-bit color, but you won't perceive all the visual effects. If you situate your monitor to 16-bit color, descriptions that should be flat may not emerge properly.
How to Set the color for a CRT monitor:
Unlock the Display Settings by clicking on the Start button, and hit it off on the Control Panel, and search for the Appearance and Personalization tab and click on it, and again click on the Personalization, and after that click on the Display Settings.
Below Colors, select the maximum (32 bit), and then click OK. (If you can't select 32 bit, ensure that your resolution is as superior as feasible, and then try again).
