Verify that the product key is compatible with your version of Windows Vista

If you are against this approach, your product key may not be compatible with your version of Windows Vista. For example, if you have a 32-bit version of Windows Vista, and you have purchased a 64-bit Windows Vista upgrade, the new product key will not be with your current version of Windows Vista. You can only upgrade a 32-bit version of Windows Vista to another 32-bit version of Windows Vista. To complete this method, follow these steps:

1. Find out whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:

a. You have to initially click on the start button which is on the left side of the taskbar, and after that type system in the Start Search box, and then click system in the program directory.

Operating system appears as follows:

For a 64-bit version of the system used: 64-bit operating system will appear the following types of systems.

For a 32-bit version of the operating system: 32-bit operating system will appear the following input system.

2. See product packaging to determine which version of Windows Vista product key is for (32-bit or 64-bit).

3. If the versions, you must obtain the correct version of the upgrade. Obtain a compatible version of antivirus or DRM software
