This is actually not making sense to me now perhaps someone here has a clue on what's incorrect. When I insert a audio CD with audio formats like wmp, itunes, as well as vlc all only play the first track prior to giving errors on the other track. I earliest changed the drive to get the similar problem, I connected new cables in, and again checked the drives in another computer, and tested the CD’s. They were all working correctly. So it must be a software issue right?

I installed Windows 7 and popped in a CD and it played flawlessly and also tried another 3 CD's and they operated very well. And therefore I formatted my Windows Vista and loaded new drivers but still the same problem continued. How does CD's work on a new install of Windows 7 but not on Vista? What could possibly be the problem? I am currently using 64bit Ultimate edition of Vista?
