WINDOWS Vista is loaded with a wide range of features that can enhance the user experience.

But, on the other hand, these programs use a lot of space and can slow down your system if it doesn't have sufficient RAM and hard disk space. If you are not using applications that are enabled by default, you can disable them to save considerable amount of system space and upgrade your system performance.

If you are a basic home user, you would want to disable unwanted features such as aero flip, sidebar gadgets, Windows meeting space and Ultimate extras. To disable unwanted Vista features, follow the steps below.
- Click 'Start I Control Panel'.
- Double-click the 'Programs and features' icon.
- Click the 'Turn Windows features on or off' link. You will be able to view a list of the available Vista features.
- Deselect the feature to disable it.
- Click 'OK' to save the changes.
