Thread: XP theme in Vista

I know from watching the news as well as looking at online news highlights that vista is lacking in consumer pleasure. People seem to prefer Windows XP. Is there a method to have the Windows XP theme in Vista (Not Classic view? The windows 9x look)? With that theme along with start menu people may be more willing to go with what there used to. One of the first things I did with Vista was look at the themes. I was so dissatisfied when they didn't have the XP theme.

In fact, the default Windows XP theme was Luna, which was the bright blue (with silver along with green as substitute). below XP the '9x look' was really provided through XP's own Classic mode called "Windows classic style," which many Windows 95/98/ME/2000 users noticed was not the similar theme, just as 'Classic' has tainted in going from XP to Vista. There are abundance of third-party themes to decide from (with a reveal of how to use them in the forum sticky), but the unique XP as well as Windows 9x themes are not integrated or supported in Vista.

Vista's default theme is Aero, but you can stop the glass look as well as other visual effects in order to boost the performance. That's normally referred to as the 'Vista Basic' visual style.
