Thread: Downgrading from vista to xp

I bought a new-fangled HP Pavilion dv6000t laptop from hp and it came in with a windows vista. I don’t like the vista so I am setting up to fix an XP OS to it.

Does someone know how I can execute an entire format so that I can downgrade my existing OS to windows XP? I tried booting my XP CD but it won’t execute an installation. It just says something like there is no hard drive available/can’t be seen. Can someone help me?
