Thread: D/DVD Drive Issues (Red Apple Icon?)

I got my latest Sony Vaio FZ4000 for college with Vista. With CDs that are supposed to auto-play the setting up file, auto-play does pop up but the installation file will not work. Also, to add to my confusion, when I go to MY COMPUTER and look at my DVD drive, it identifies that there is a compact disk in there, but in its place of saying DVD-ROM, there is a red apple icon. I'm thinking it's a compatibility problem but I'm not certain how to resolve it. The disc doesn't state Vista on it but it does declare XP. Any ideas on how to remedy this?

Some older application will be unsuccessful to start on from compact disk with UAC turned on.
