Thread: Veoh Web Player

I am having a really frustrating problem with my friend's PC.

He downloads movies from veoh sites with the veoh player software. However, when he downloads movies, the transfer does to not go to his veoh player. He gets a message that he must download the veoh player, which is already installed. It doesn't matter what browser he is using (windows, mozilla, and chrome)

To fix the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times. In addition, i deleted the veoh player reg keys.

I know that it is not the browser because it does not work in all 3. It is not the software because it worked on my computer. It has to be a setting with in windows that opens the veoh player when you click on "download."

Can someone please help me. I am really jammed up.

Try making the veoh player default for whatever extension the movie is. Or you can go to the properties of the movie and change the default player for that one specific movie.

I tried to change protocol for FLV files to be opened by veohplayer.exe, but I didn't have any luck. Am I correct in saying that the videos in veoh.com are flv files?

You shouldn't have to download anything. Download the newest version of adobe flash and it will play on the website.
