Thread: Why Laptop is going off the balcony?

Laptop is going off the balcony.help!

I am operating vista premium. it was already installed when i bought the lap top a couple of months ago. However, whilst I can download updates, they won’t install. Some of the error codes I can’t even find on the Microsoft / windows site. What am I doing wrong?

Can you give an example of some of the errors that are popping up?
Usually it’s automatic so you couldn't have done anything wrong unless you tampered with it in some way;

Have you Downloaded/used any unusual software?
Registry Cleaner or anything that changes your Reg. files?

It could be a virus preventing you from installing these updates. Could you give some examples of the error codes and the file names of the installers please? Check my own tech help website for more Q+A's.

There is an actual log on your computer that tells what error you are having when the update does not go through.

Click Start, type %windir%\windowsupdate.log in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

I haven’t downloaded anything at all of internet, only tried to download what computer tells me I should.

and lots more. Just been looking and sometimes they appear to have installed, and other times they don’t. They are also in blocks of failed and successful. So it’s not even a certain download that won’t do it. i appreciate your help if anyone can
