Windows Vista has in-built program called Narrator which is a basic screen reader (or text-to-speech program). Without leaving the active window it reads menus. People who use Narrator in Windows Vista will get a more pleasant, satisfying experience, natural sounding voice.
To start Narrator, the ways are following:
• To open the Ease of Access Center, select Start, Control Panel, Ease of Access, Ease of Access Center. For apply in the current session, Under Quick access to common tools select Start Narrator.
• Activate Narrator so that it automatically initiates every time you sign in.
