Thread: Add a new File Type to Indexing in Windows Vista

In windows Vista, a new in-built search engine that is completely integrated into the operating system, but not all files are listed. To indexed that add a new file type, you directly must follow a couple of ways.

Just place index inside the start menu search box, and press enter to obtain to the indexing service panel.



Press the Advanced tab in the Indexing Options window:



Type in the new extension now and press “Add new extension”



If you need the file contents to be filed, find the file type in the list and make definite you check the box “Index Properties and File Contents” radio button.
