Thread: Access Hidden Regional Themes in Windows 7

A location specific Aero theme offered by Windows 7 which is fully depends on the language and location that you choose during installation. Here we will look to get access to other hidden themes from various countries. When starting Windows 7 installation first you select a language, time and currency format. This is where Windows decide what theme you are offered by default.



I am presenting location specific themes from the United States with desktop backgrounds like view from Maine, Idaho, Oregon etc.



For accessing other international themes copy and paste the path given below into the search box and press Enter.

C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT



In MCT folder you will get extra themes for Canada, Australia, South Africa, and Great Britain.



You can go in and take just the Wallpapers…

Or just go to the Theme folder double click on thumbnail to include it.



Here you can see that all of them are added into the My Themes section for when you wish to change them.



This is an efficient tiny trick that will let you modify Windows 7 with hidden themes already available.
