Thread: Create a Shortcut or Hotkey to Clear the Clipboard in Windows

Suppose you have copied somewhat to the clipboard that you do not require to depart there in case somebody else is going to employ your PC. What will you do? Create a Shortcut Icon to Clear the Clipboard

Right click by mouse on the desktop screen or somewhere else, and select New - Shortcut from the menu.



After that Enter the below command in the shortcut location box:

cmd /c “echo off | clip”



Now at this point you will have an symbol that will instantaneously remove the clipboard… but we will be able to tweak it a bit more.

Right clicking by mouse on the symbol and select Properties, and after that modify the Run drop-down to ‘Minimized’ to make certain you don’t view the command prompt. Also you will be able to allocate a shortcut key.



If you press the Change Icon tab and after that browse down to below file, you will be able to get a clipboard symbol:
